Google Retail YouTube Thumbnail Designs
This project was created to replace the existing video thumbnails on the Retail Training by Google YouTube channel. The graphics aim to differentiate video topics and give viewers information on what each video contains. This video content categories include How-to, Who Am I, Here and Now, Google Spotlight, Tom’s Tips, Behind the Hardware, Ask Me Anything, Helpful Hacks, and more. Once created and refined, the graphics were uploaded to YouTube to serve as thumbnails.

The Process
Working as a freelancer for 1000heads, the process involved creating thumbnail designs using existing templates. The 1000heads creative team made design templates for each type of video category. When designing each individual thumbnail, I added the desired copy and imagery to the proper template. To choose the imagery I watched each video in order to find the most visually appealing snapshots to incorporate into the design. I then listened to feedback from both 1000heads and Google employees to refine the final designs.
