Mindfulness Coach UX/UI Mobile App Redesign

This project was created to redesign the existing Mindfulness Coach app. The redesign aims to fix usability issues and offer visually appealing screens for mindfulness use. Once finished researching, I prototyped new screens to serve as possible solutions to the user and visual design issues that were found.

My Contributions:

  • Analysis of current app and competitors

  • Conduction of user research studies & methods

  • Conduction of visual design research

  • Creation of wireframes and prototyping

  • Final presentation of materials

The Process

The process involved my collaboration with a fellow designer. We conducted a current app and competitor analysis. Based on this analysis, we created a user survey to assess mindfulness app priorities. We then created empathy maps and user personas based on the app’s target audience. Information architecture and wireframes were made to finish the UX aspect. Visual research was conducted to find app inspiration, a color palette, type, etc. All of these elements were put together to craft the final prototype.

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD

Visual design research was then conducted to add to the wireframes. This included app inspiration, color palettes, and typography. I went through many iterations of visual design before landing on the final layout.
